It took Jon Edgar two years to persuade fellow sculptor Ronald Rae to take two days off work and to sit patiently while his head was modelled in clay. Photographer Glyn Satterley recorded the event.

I love it!……… but I can imagine that it was the closest thing to torture that he has ever experienced! Well done Ronnie….posterity will thank you for your patience!

Thank you Maggi. Yes, it was hard for Ronnie to sit still for that length of time. He needed a neck massage afterwards! However he felt it was a compliment to be asked and he was pleased with the results. His head has been through the kiln and is now in terracotta. Love and peace to you too. Pauline

Thank you McKirdy family for your response. Ronnie was honoured that Jon Edgar wanted to capture his head for posterity although he found it difficult to sit still for so long! However he survived and it turned out to be a happy experience. Love to you too and hope to see you soon.
